Need to make some cloths to add to the collection of cloths to be sold at a church function to benefit the needy people in our area so fiddled around with this one.  (All other cloths are crocheted since no one knits so I decided to add some variety).  Thanks to Tweed for putting me onto the Blanket Rib Stitch.  Grin  Made this 9 x9" cloth using just the garter stitch and the blanket rib stitch mixed in every so often.  It made its own little scalloped edge.  UNFORTUNATELY the variegated yarn does not show off the rib st at all but I was told that variegated yarn was "preferred".  I know it would be so much nicer in a solid color and I will  use a solid next time.  No question this will make a really good scrubber cloth.    Peaches & Cream cotton "Sweet and Sour" with # 7 needles.  oops---sorry---I didn't block it yet.  Now to decide what other stitch patterns I want to experiment with.

Love that color. No stains will show on that! I like the unique scalloped edge. Grin

A great way to practice new stitches/patterns!  Nice cloth, it does look like a good scubber cloth!

thanks Tweedie and Bende.  It is definitely a good way to practice new stitches.  It came out well as far as properly knit stitches but I decided to keep it because I am not happy with the lack of attractiveness  ( the hidden look of the blanket rib ) due to the choice of variegated yarn.  I'll make something else for the church sale.  But I am happy with such a totally utilitarian cloth and have already put it to work.  Wink
