Anyone want to join a knit along? Carol Ann suggested Tweed's baby blanket pattern and I thought that would be a great idea..........Ok, who's going to join me? Looks like an easy enough pattern so even us that are not so "advanced" can join in! You can find the pattern here...6th post down........... http://www.knit-happy-forum.com/index.php?topic=5837.0Tweed...what size needles would you suggest?

I'm in for a baby blanket (and a toy up the road after this KAL). I just re-started the cradle blanket ...not Tweed's pattern though. I am using a different--- open, lacy looking --- pattern to try to coordinate with the crocheted baby doll bunting. Planning Tweedie's pattern for a later date. Can I use my patt for the KAL and add Tweed's later? This is the EASY pattern I just started and it is VERY pretty: http://www.knitting-crochet.com/babbla.html Using # 5 needles and a reduced st count for a cradle / bassinette size.

That is very pretty! Sure you can use that for the KAL. Why don't we just say "baby blanket" for the KAL rather than limited to just 1 pattern...but tweed's pattern is there if you should choose. Thanks for that tweed!

Well heck! Carol Ann told me we were doing a KAL. I have a blanket that I just put on the needles too. I'm guessing it is now an official entrant. Not the posted one either. LOL! I don't have a scanner so no preview available. Sorry.

SO>>>>>>>>>>> Will have to pick another pattern. My local yarn supplier is out of my yarn with no plans to restock. She said she was "watching her inventory very carefully" I don't like the sound of that. I hope she can survive the present economy.

That would be awful if she were to go out of business....hopefully she won't. Well, anything goes for this KAL....the baby blanket I'm working on is using up my scraps and I started following a pattern, then doing my own thing so it's going to be interesting! LOL Can't wait to see what we all come up with!

Me, too---really lookin' forward to the diversity of colors & patterns. I finally got a comfortable rhythm going with mine but it is only 9 " long, so far, so I think it will be awhile before mine is on display.
